The School Year Ended (學期總結)

Dear Richard,

Time flies. Your Grade 3 is coming to an end this week. However, your learning is still at a beginning. I hope that you can keep up your effort and write me your feeling regularly. Thank you Mrs. Kay for giving us this great opportunity to communicate.

I hope that you have enjoyed reading my stories. See if you can remember any of the followings.
1. For a good learning attitude, we have 鐵柱成針. The old woman rolled an iron rod to make needle.
2. To keep up commitment and spirit, we have 愚公移山. The foolish old man moved the mountain with generations.
3. A bad lesson for not being patient, we have 拔苗助長. The young farmer helped the sprouts grow an inch faster.
4. To learn enough before making conclusion, we have 瞎子摸象. The five blind people paid a visit to an elephant.
5. Knowing how to deal with conflicts, we have 鷸蚌相持. The fisherman got the snipe and clam for a big feast.
6. To realize the changes around, we have 刻舟求劍. The man marked the boat for his dropping sword.
7. To recognise the importance of making good friends, we have 孟母三遷. The mother moved home near a school for her son.
8. Be concentrate on work, we have管寧割蓆. The bamboo mat was cut into half.
