Waiting For Rabbits (¦u®è«Ý¨ß) | ||||||||||||

October 27, 2002
Dear Richard, Once upon a time, there was a farmer who worked in the field every day to earn a living. He didn't like his job but required it to make ends meet. One day, after a few hours of working, he took a rest under the shade of a big tree. A rabbit, which appeared trying to run away from something, hit the big tree and fainted. The farmer was very happy with his luck. He brought home the fainted rabbit for a big feast that night. The farmer started thinking that this was so much easier than working in the field. If he could get a rabbit by sitting under the tree, there were no reasons for him to work any more. Since then, every day, instead of going to the field, he sat under the big tree and wait for another rabbit. Richard, what do you think about this farmer? Would he get another rabbit? In real life, many people are liked this farmer. They believe that they have the luck. They don't work hard but they want the rewards. My experience tells me that nobody could keep the luck forever, working hard is the only thing one can control and rely on for success. With love, Dad |
