PATMAT DESIGN's
Upgrade 37 mm Barrels
for the 1:6 M5 Stuart

SOLD OUT and NO LONGER being produced. Sorry! Got other stuff to do...

The r/c version of the 21st Century M5 tank comes with a stubby little pop-gun barrel, equipped for shooting spring-loaded plastic "missiles". If you want a scale look, try one of my custom upgrade barrels!
  • Lathe-turned from solid gray PVC rod;
  • PVC takes paints nicely, barrel comes unpainted;
  • Light- won't strain your stock breech mounting;
  • COMPLETE barrel- not just the tapered part;
  • NOT drilled all the way through;
  • But does have the notches on the barrel locknut;
  • Mounts into your stock breech- requires cutting the stock barrel off;
  • About 8" long from the mantlet;
  • Includes instruction sheet.
Here you can see how the upgrade barrel compares to ol' stubby.

The stock barrel has been sawed off at the breech, which is then used to mount the new barrel inside the turret.

The stock breech angles the barrel upward, which was needed for good trajectory with the "missiles". But the 37mm barrel should be parallel to the coax 30 caliber in the mantlet. To best achieve this, some trimming and shimming of the breech's mounting lugs is needed. This is described in the included instruction sheet.

Get your barrels long and straight!
