Cravings

There’s a hunger deep within me,
A vast emptiness,
It gnaws and gnaws away at my insides,
I cannot control it I confess:
In turn
I yearn
For and detest
That certain sweetness,
That completeness
I am denied.
Oh, I know it’s wrong
To long
For that which you cannot have.
But it’s not like I ask for
World peace or
True love.
All I need,
All I cannot live without
Is a packet of Tim Tams
That never runs out
