           Articles/Interviews:
          Seventeen
Gig: Actor, who's crushing on 'My So-Called Life's A.J. Langer
in 'Meet the Deedles', about dumb-and-dumber twins, Phil (Paul) and
Stew (Steve Van Wormer) and their excellent Yellowstone Park
adventure. This fall, you see Paul in "Pleasantville' with Reese
Witherspoon and Toby Maguire, and as the guy in 'Two Girls' with
          Claire Danes.
Birthday: September 12, which makes 24 year old Paul a Virgo.

          Lovematches: Cancer, Scorpio, and Taurus.

          Status: Single
Smiles, everyone: Off the set, Paul's seeking a leading lady
with, "a great smile, a sense of humor, and family values-and she has
to be into having kids someday, so she can't mind getting a little
          dirty.
Catch phrases: Paul's surfspeak in 'Meet the Deedles' is au
naturel. "Dude rolls out of my mouth all the time. It's bad," says
Paul. "I'll meet a casting director and I'll say, 'Hey how's it goin',
dude?' and I'll be totally pegged as a California surfer boy."

Eat like a bird: For a worm snarfing scene in 'Meet the
Deedles', Paul and A.J. ate the real McCoy. "We said, 'Let's use real
ones.' And next thing, we were shoving big-daddy night crawlers in our
faces. It was raunchy, but at least crushed Oreos were used for
          dirt...
Comparison stopper: Showbiz buzz says that Paul's handsome mug
will make him the next Brad Pitt. "I don't listen to that stuff," he
          insists. "It's flattering but it's weird. I mean, Brad Pitt-he's a
total stud, way good looking and cool, too. "I'm just Paul."

More than pretty: "I don't want to be looked at as a hack. I
want people like De Niro-people I respect- to think I deserve to be
where I'm at. I want to be a Leonardo DiCaprio.
