Mrs. Helen Joy Reames, 62, of Charlotte died April 24, 1993, at Presbyterian Hospital. Funeral is 2 P.M. Monday at Covenant United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 6 P.M. today at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Home.
Mrs. Reames, a Charlotte native, retired as a BB&T loan officer after 30 years. She also retired as a Mecklenburg County ABC Board clerk after six years. At her church, she was a choir member.
Survivors are her son, Joe Reames; daughter, Mrs. Amy Lovelace of Tryon; brothers, O. F. Joy of Ocean Isle Beach, Bill Joy, Charles Joy, Jean Joy, Don Joy; sisters, Mrs. May Midgett, Mrs. Ruth Weaver, Mrs. Doris Sisk; one grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Covenant United Methodist Church, 6824 Tuckaseegee Rd., Charlotte, N.C., 28214, or to Presbyterian Hospital Foundation, Harris Hospice Unit fund, P.O. Box 33549, Charlotte, N.C. 28233-3459. The family will be at Joe Reames' home, 13001 Pecan Meadow Ct.
