MRS. MOLLIE ORR POTEAT, 93, of 8835 Larchmont Circle, died Saturday in a local hospital. Funeral is 2 p.m. Monday at the Homestead Methodist Church.
Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Ethel Williams, Mrs. Alma Love, both of Charlotte; sons, Preston M. Poteat of Tyler, Tex., Brooks M. Poteat of Spray, Parks H. Poteat of Charlotte.

MRS. POTEAT
The funeral for Mrs. Mollie O. Poteat, 93, of 8835 Larchmont Circle was to be at 2 p.m. today in Homestead Methodist Church.
The Rev. J. D. Harris, pastor, was to officiate. Burial was to be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Poteat was born on Dec., 7, 1874, in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late John and Ginny Poteat.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Williams and Mrs. Alma Love of Charlotte; three sons, Preston M. Poteat of Tyler, Tex., Brooks M. Poteat of Spray, NC, and Parks H. Poteat of Charlotte.

[Note: The parents of Mollie Orr Poteat were, of course, not John and Ginny Poteat. At the time of her death, the surviving children did not know the identity of Mollie Orr's father.]
