LLOYD H. LOVE, 43, Paw Creek farmer, died in a local hospital early Saturday morning. The funeral service will be conducted at Paw Creek Presbyterian church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Love is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ruth Love, his wife, three sisters, Misses Margaret, Ida and Eunice Love, and eight brothers, Frank, Arthur, Roy, Melvin, Macon and Avery Love, all of Charlotte, Walter Love of Newport News, Va., and Clyde Love of Augusta, Ga.

From World War History of the 306th Field Signal Battalion, 81st Division, page 257:
Love, Lloyd H. - Private (deceased) Enlisted May 28, 1918 - Charlotte, North Carolina. He entered Uncle Sam's service May 28, 1918 from Charlotte, North Carolina. He stayed nearly a month at that place called Depot Brigade, and was then transferred to a "real" Company called 306th Field Signal Battalion, where he has been ever since. Perhaps if anyone should ask him, he could tell what he and "Red" Kavenaugh did at Verdun during a certain heavy artillery.
