Moore, John, Mary J., W2417, BLW #17869o-160-55, NC Line, sol was a son
of John Moore, Sr. & was b 29 July 1759 in Anson Co NC the part that
became Lincoln Co NC & he lived in Tryon Co NC the part that later became
a part of Lincoln Co NC at enl & in 1808 he moved to GA & in 1827 he
returned to Lincoln Co where he appl 30 Oct 1832 & sol d there 4 May 1836
& sol had m there to Mary J. Scott 10 Jul 1815 or 1816, wid appl 23 Apr
1853 Gaston Co NC aged 71, on 17 Oct 1853 a Mrs. Elizabeth Caldwell aged
75 of Gaston Co NC made aff'dt that she was at sol's & wid's wedding but
no relationship stated, a son Lee A. Moore was of Dallas NC in 1853,
sol's bros Alexander & William Moore made aff'dts in Lincoln Co NC in
1832 & the bro William was older than sol, in 1855 an Abraham Scott was
of Gaston Co NC relationship ??? [Virgil D. White, Genealogical Abstracts

1835 Pension List, Lincoln County, North Carolina:
John Moore, private, North Carolina Militia, $26.66 annual allowance,
$66.65 amount received, September 21, 1833 pension started, age 75.

MOORE, Lee A. MOORE, Sidney J. HARRIS. Witnesses: John STAMEY, Robert
