Notes for Sidney Ervin Poteet
Obituary from "The News Herald," 4 Jan 1906 stated that "Mr. Sidney
Poteet, one of the oldest citizens of the county, and the head of a large
family, died Sunday, December 24th, at his home in Enola, and was buried
Christmas Day. He was about 81 years of age and had lived a useful,
conscientious life." [reprinted from "The Heritage of Burke County,"
