Notes for Francis Marion Poteet

Francis was a veteran of the Civil War. He resided in McDowell County and
was by occupation a miller prior to enlisting in McDowell County at age
36, on October 2,1863, for the war. He was a Private in Company A, 49th
Regiment, North Carolina Troops. This information is found in Vol X11 of
North Carolina Troops 1861-1865 compiled by Weymouth T. Jordan, Jr.
