Note:
My conclusion upon reading the deed found in Lincoln County Deed Book 32,
page 26 was that Thomas Fisher was apparently the father of John, Uriah,
Rufus, Susanna and Sally H. Fisher. However, when new information came
to light in the form of a Fisher family Bible which names Richard Fisher
and Anna Harwell as the parents of Rufus Fisher, I concluded that it was
likely that Thomas Fisher was a sibling of the heirs named in the deed.
He must have died without wife or issue. It is also possible that Thomas
was their grandfather. Further research is needed.
