Will of ROBERT LEMMOND Dated 7 Dec 1817
In the name of God Amen
I Robert Lemmonds being weak of body but of Perfect sound mind and memory calling to mind the Mortality and appointed dissolution of my body knowing that it is appointed unto all men to once to die do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament and first I recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it and my body to the Earth to be buried in a Decent Christian manner at the discretion of my after named Excr and touching such worldly goods as it hath pleased God to bless me with I dispose of in the following manner and form. After all my inst. debts are paid Imprimis~I will give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Jean Lemmond one bed and furniture her body cloaths and spinning wheel together with the houshold and Citchin furniture that is the one third of sd furniture also the stock of Cattle for the use and support of the family and one third of the plantation that I now live on while she remains my widow also __ ___ for the use and benefit of the sd J Lemmond
Item--I will give and bequeath unto my beloved son James Lemmonds, William Lemmonds, John Lemmonds, Robert Lemmonds and my Daughter Elizabeth Lemmonds now Elizabeth Garrison the sum of one Dollar and fifty cents each.
Item-- I will give and bequeath unto my two Daughters Ann Lemmonds and Nancy Lemmonds the Sum of twenty Dollars each to be paid by my two sons Cyrus and Mars Lemmonds out of the Benefits arriving to them from my land that I now live on.
Item--I give bequeath and convey unto my two Sons Cyrus Lemmonds and Mars Lemmonds all the plantation on that I now live on to be equally divided between them as the executor think best for their advantage to them their heirs or assigns forever.
And lastly I hereby Nominate Constitute and Appoint my trusty friend John N. Robison to be my whole and sole executor of this my last will and testament and I do hereby set aside all other wills legacies or bequeathments by me heretofore made or intended to be made hereby ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand arid seal this 7th day of December 1817

The Last Will and Testament of Robert Lemmond, Decd., was proven in court by Robert Robison a Subscribing Witness & recorded. John Robison, the Executor named in Said Will, appeared in Court and was Qualified. [WB-B/37] (Herman W.
