Will of ROBERT BEATY of the County of Mecklenburg, April 4th 1781, being
very weak & in low condition ... to my eldest Brother Thomas Beaty, 300
acres upon first Broad River, adj . Wallace Beatys 300 acres, provided
that he shall pay £10 NC currency to his son David Beaty, also he shall
pay £10 to each of his brothers & sisters; to my brother James Beaty, my
watch; to my brother Hugh Beaty, all my surveying instruments; to my
brother Francis, £8 in gold & silver rates; to my brother Wallace, one
bed & beding; to my brother in law Robert Gray, £8 to my brother by law
Robert Armstrong, £8; to my brother John Beaty, my clock; brothers
Thomas & John, exrs
