"When I went to California with Aunt Jessie in the late 40's, we came back through South Dakota and visited a family named Sheridan. I do not know how they were related except through one of Daddy's aunts, either Jane or Celia. When the cold weather sets in, I'll try to go back through some of the old letters and see if I can find a reference. When I went through them the first time, I needed bifocals as a result. They write such tiny script that it is really hard to read. Also, I have somewhere a copy of a letter from Arthur Howell written in the fifties. Think he may have been great grandfather's brother's son. They lived in Alberta, Canada near Medicine Hat."
