Proof that Samuel P., John F., Martha A. and James E. Anders were the children of Samuel and Charlotte Anders:
"Samuel P. Anders, John F. Anders & Martha A. Anders of Dyer County Tennessee, part of the heirs at law of Samuel Anders, dec'd to our brother James E. Anders of same County & State & also one of the heirs of Samuel Anders, dec'ed - Power of Attorney to sell our interest in lands in Bladen County, N.C. including all of the lands which belonged to our father, the said Samuel Anders dec'd at the time of his death as also the lands belonging to the Estate of John Anders, Sr., dec'd who was our Grandfather and all of the lands belonging to Nancy Anders, who was our Grandmother & we further empower our said attorney to demand & receive of & from the Administrator of John Turner, dec'd late of Sampson County, N.C. or of such other person may have the Estate of sd John Turner in possession all property belong to said Estate and which shall be due to us as the children of Charlotte Anders, formerly Charlotte Fort and the daughter of John Fort, dec'd late of Samson County, N.C. Wit: Robert Brown, William T. Dodd, State of Tennessee, Madison County - acknowledgement of Witness taken before John Read, Esq & certified by James C. Jones, Govenor of Tenn." Proof that Alfred Anders was the son of Samuel Anders:
"Isaac Sampson of Dyer County, Tenn., Guardian of Alfred Anders to James E. Anders, Power of Attorney to sell interest of Alfred Anders in lands in Bladen County, N.C. & especially in 3 tracts of land in said County, one on South River, one of Lake Creek, one on Cobbin Branch, which said land descended to the said Alfred Anders from his father Samuel Anders, dec'd...acknowledgement taken in Tipton County, Tennessee."
