John Anders, Jr. served as Lieutenant during the 17 Feb. 1776 Battle of Moores Creek Bridge. [Roster of the Patriots in the Battle of Moores Creek Bridge by Bobby Gilmer Ross, p. 5]

1784 Tax List for Bladen County, NC - John Anders, Jr. owned 200 taxable acres.

29 Jan 1835 - Children of John Anders, Jr. determined by Deed Records, page 264 Vol. III Deed Book 10:
At November Term 1834 the following Viz: W. H. Beatty, G. W. Bannerman, J. D. Beatty, Wm. Johnston, Wm. J. Brown were appointed Commissioners to divide the real estate of John Anders, dec'd among his legal heirs - Lot 1 - 40 acres drawn by Alfred Anders, Lot #2 - 40 acres drawn by heirs of J. Anders, dec'd, Lot No 3 - 46 acres drawn by Timothy Anders, Lot No 4 - 29 acres drawn by Elizabeth Sutton, Lot No 5 - 31 acres drawn by David Anders, Lot No 6 - 39 acres drawn by A. J. Bryan, Lot No 7 - 44 acres drawn by Samuel Anders, Lot No 8 - 41 acres drawn by John Anders.

"Cases at Law Argued and Determined in the Supreme Court on North Carolina," or "North Carolina Reports": 13 NC 342 Anders vs Anders - From Bladen County, North Carolina - December Term 1830 - John Anders died in 1814. He had seven children, including Timothy, one of whom had a daughter, Caroline Anders. [Abstract from "The North Carolina Genealogical Society Journal Vol. VII No 3," published August 1981, p. 130]
