P. 74 - May 31, 1872 - Died in Bladen Co., at her mother's residence near Mount Horeb Church, Mary Elizabeth Wooten, in the 16th year of her age. Mary was not a communing member of the church yet but was a child of the covenant and received a religious education. Mary, or Puss Wooten, as she was more familiarly called will be cherished by the youth of this neighborhood. (Daughter of John Allen Wooten and Mary Margaret Anders.)
