Enoggera Reservoir ![]() Inspired by Robert Whyte and his SOWN web site, this weekend we went to Brisbane Forest Park Araucaria Trail. The Trail is around the edge of the Enoggera Reservoir. There is the wet Eucalypt forest to dry rainforest type of landscape. However, some parts of the Trail is infected by weeds, Lantana, Wild Tobacco, etc., quite badly. We found that the lovely Jumping Jack Ants are very common there. We also saw the Suger Ants and Spider Ants. Because next a big piece of flash water, dragonflies and damselflies are common. Many Yellow Emperor and Common Glider were flying arround. On the way back, we saw a Leafwing butterfly. Along the Trail, the Native Rosella is flowering, on them we easily find the Cotton Plant Bugs, which like to stay with the all kinds of Hibiscus.
