No Sawfly nor Leaf Beetle Larvae yet
photo

Sunday morning I show Masatoshi in Karawatha Forest Rocky Circuit, where I usually find those Sawfly and Leaf Beetle Larvae during summer. Masatoshi is doing some related research in UQ. However, we have no luck at all. We only find one small dark brown Leaf Beetel species, no any lavera. May be now is still too early for those larvae to appear.

Anyway, We are very lucky in other findings. We saw a Rare Red Eyes Skipper butterfly, which I saw it the first time. It is a large and colourful Skipper and I do not expect to see it very often again. Then we  found two Children's Stick Insects nymph, one male and one female. This Stick Insect is considered as very rare too. This is the second time I saw them in the wild.
