Boghe Girls' Computer Training

We had a total of eight small conferences for girls. In addition to computer traiing at the Girls' Mentoring Center, we also had art projects at both the Boghe GMC and the elementary school in Diolum.

Heather brought a group of girls one weekend and boys another from Diolum. They were elementary school aged and were introduced to computers. Maite did the same thing with girls from Toulde, girls from Bakaw and the Toulde Computer Center Committee. The costs of these were low and managed to reach a large audience and geographical area. The organization was easy and utilized the three female mentors that have worked with the GMC throughout the year. For the Bakaw Conference one of the mentors organized and ran the entire conference.

Small one-day conferences are very easy. They are a good project for first volunteers along with the help of mentors from the Center.
