Nouakchott HASH Runs

HASH Runs are usually scheduled on the first Monday of the month.

History of HASH Runs

The HASH runs started in the 1930's in Kuala Lumpur. Of course by some British blokes who had nothing else to do than having GT's in the club and a chat. One day it was too much and they had to get some exercise.

They started running and formed a club - of course. It should have a name. The HASH was the nick-name for the notorious dish Hashish served in the club ("million-bøf" in Danish).

Running the HASH is not to be mistaken with a certain druck used by long-haired youngsters, popular in the 1970's.

Later the HASH spread to Singapore. The members surviving WWII resumed the habit both places, and from here it has spread throughout the world.

In Denmark HASH runs are found in Copenhagen (not to be mistaken with HHHH), Århus, Ålborg and Esbjerg. At the moment it is not clear to us in the HHHH Mismanagement whether the HASH in Korsør is still surviving, or not, now that they are close to finalizing the Tunnel and Bridge.
