Sus gino-o, August 24th na nga ba talaga? Where have all the days gone?
August 21st slipped by without me having greeted the very special birthday
girl, the ultimate "Hatak Queen" Jane Amelyn Balbuena. That is unacceptable.
Not that I forgot, no ma'm. (gosh, I really have to make this very convincing.)
Jane dear, kasalanan ng AOL kung bakit hindi nakarating ang aking pagbati.
Pinutulan ako ng AOL dahil hindi daw ako nakakabayad. Naaawa ka na ba?
Anyways, please accept my albeit late but sincere wish for many happy returns
of the day. I'm sure your birthday was a blast based on what I heard on the
background when I called you a while back.

You are a very special person - always have good words for everyone. At saka
yung tolerance level mo, 'day, very high. I applaud you. As a friend, truly a
gem to have. Sana mapatawad mo ako. Kung hindi naman, babawiin ko na lahat ng
pinagsasabi ko, bwahahahaha. Biro lang, ikaw naman, o!

Kahit paulit-ulit ang ating pagkikita, wala pa ring nagsasawa.
T Y for the thoughtful gift and remember pag may "availabilty"
na sa Ritz for a hefty discount, call me huh? Para magamit ko
naman yung "kinky treats" from Noel and Miles.

Ayan Noel and Miles - nabasa ba ninyo yan ng maigi? I fully
intend to put your "gifts" to great use. Kulang na lang ako
ng partner! TY for coming too. Next time sa house warming mo
naman Tito Knowie. If you fancy my neighborhood, I would be
thrilled to be your neighbor, sige na!

Miles - ty for the cute treasure chest, symbolic of how
treasured your friendship is to me. For the record, genius
talaga yang Raimond mo, after everybody gave up on setting
up the karaoke, siya lang ang nagtagumpay. The fruit does
not fall far from the tree - go figure!

In all my (ehem) years, I've never had a most touching
emotional celebration of my birthday. I was stricken
with awe by the outpouring of love, caring and so much
attention on me! How I am reminded once more of the
priceless treasure of true friendships. Since I have
no family around me here, save for my Vincent and
Janice, I consider you all my wonderful family and it
is always a special joy to share bonding moments with
you all. You know who you are and it is needless to
name names. Just feel my appreciation for your truly
unique gift to me - the warm kind loving hearts that
you all are.

To all those who called in or e-mailed their
greetings, how I wished for your physical presence to
enjoy with us, but I thank your thoughtfulness just
the same.

To those who tried but did not make it, the heart
understands, and I hope you will make it for the next
gathering.

Collectively, I would like to thank those who gave me
beautiful handbags. All in all, I now have 6 to add to
my collection. Runner-up na yata ako ni Imelda Marcos.
Problema ko na lang eh how to find the $$$ to stash in
those elegant name brand purses.
Thanks Amee, Dory, Mimi, Ron etc.

Monette and Jophen - really glad you came. TY for your
most practical gift -You have saved me beaucoup bucks
kasi sasamahan ko pa ng coupon for double savings. Moe,
di ka lang pala Dancing Queen, Karaoke queen ka rin pala.
I did not know specialty mo pala ang kapampangan, ilokano
at hard rock songs. Sa totoo lang, all day today I was
singing "Paper Roses" your tune stuck to my head.
Jophen - sayang and I did not have the chance to chat with
you. That's the drawback of playing host, I couldn't find
the chance to sit down and chat with everyone. I'll call
you one day for a long chat.

Grace- I know how hectic your sched is between playing mom,
wife, nursing school and on-duty days and I am touched you
squeezed in my party for your weekend. Magic talaga yung
microphone mo, lahat napapakanta o dahil tumalab lang ying
mixed drinks ni Mars?

Richie and Mars - I realize very rare lang ang mga special
appearance ninyo and I thank you for lending your royal
presence to my invite. Richwee, medyo nag-improve na yung
"I'll try me best" image mo - way to go girl! Mars -
everybody became your fan, ang galing ng bartending skills
mo, that's a talent you can always fall back on if your
heavy business investments hit rock bottom (wag naman sana)

Dory - as usual you came and you were the first to leave AGAIN.
But I am honored you and Daddy Jorge came just the same. TY for
the professional photos.

Jinggy -sana di ka nagsisi that you splurged on airfare to come
to LA and be with us for the party. I tried to call you 3x in
San Diego, but nobody picked up. Catch you later.

Amee, Conch and Susan F. - I feel blessed to have you close to
me. Many many thanks for your help.

Dear Romie - kung nababasa mo tong email ko, that means out of
probation ka na dearest friend, welcome back to circulation.
Thanks for the wonderful memories, I'm relieved Mother Lily
let you off the hook. No more playing hookie coz I will not
bail you out the next time, hehehe.

Mimi - last but certainly not the very least, what can I say,
except that you are almost a sister to me, thanks again.

Hey Birthday girl,

It was a blast. Thanks for inviting us on your debut. Thanks also to
Vincent and Janice. The dimsum was great, worth the wait. Tina and the
kids once again had a great time. I did too with all those mix drinks
that Mars keeps passing around. Hey Mars, nice to see you and Richie
again and thanks for the drinks tasting contest. Bet was on for the last
guy standing. I lost, hehehe.

Ron, see you and Luz next time we are in LA. Luz, thanks for the accommodation
at the Peninsula. Just superb, the way they treated a non-paying guest, now
I just can't imagine how they service a paying customer, hehehe. We had a really
good time.

Gerry, sabi ni Raim eh pumikit lang siya para malaman kung maiinggit ka ... ang
ganda sigurado ng picture niyo (Amee, kopya ko ha!). Thank you sa "sarap to the
last drop" dimsum. Tina, I will let you know what I find out about Redondo.
I hope Kit and Gerald had an easy first day in school.

Ron, sobrang sweet yata ni Luz kaya dinagsa tayo ng langgam sa labas. I'm sure
nag-enjoy na naman sina Kyle, Keane and Ashley.

Jophen, lista mo yung utang mong chicharon... witness ko si Tito Knowie. Galing
ng team-up niyo ni Moe! Mars, tamang-tama ang tama. Hindi ko na tuloy nabilang
kung ilang beses ka nagsabi ng "JOS-KO!" si Amee habang nakasilip ka sa camera.
Si Conch yata eh nabitin pa. Si Moe, and tindi ng self control-- hindi uminom
pero dinaan na lang sa pagkanta. Ang galing mo, idol!!

Susan, ipon ka ulit ng bakasyon para sa susunod ... ang sarap mong magluto!
Mimi, balitaan mo kami pag natuloy na yung blind date ni Conch (or Amee).
It was good to see Paul and Brad.

Grace, pwedeng-pwede ka nang mag-form ulit ng Glee club. Sa susunod eh ipag-off
mo na si Jose para hindi mabitin. Roslyn is growing up fast at si Matthew naman
eh kailangan ng baby brother (Mimi, pag kailangan mo na ng baby sitter ...) As
usual, naka-Energizer battery si darling Lourdeen.

Romay, lagi mong isasama si Lily para ma-maintain mo na yung "new image" mo. Mga
kalahating araw lang sumakit ang panga ko this time... after LV kasi eh mga isang
linggo yung ngalay ng panga ko. Ang gaganda ng mga anak mo, kamukha ng nanay
pareho (ooppppssss!).

Chie, napalitan na ang title mo, finally! Hindi ka na "I'll try my best!" At wag
ka na ring kabahan at responsible naman ang mga potential balae mo (mababait ang
mga nanay, di ba Luz and Tina?) Miss na ni Jessi si Lianne.

Jinggy, I hope you had a fun time here in the west coast and a safe trip back home.
It was nice meeting your San Diego family...

Dory and Daddy, hindi na tayo nakapag-chikahan. Sa uulitin eh kukuha ka na lang
ng proxy pag napapasabay sa mga get together ang ibang happening (LOL).

Jojo, sorry wala na namang nag-hubad. Kamag-anak ka yata ni David Copperfield
at ang galing mong maglaho ...

Rading and Hermie (and the rest who were SUPPOSED to be there) na-miss niyo...it
was a super fun weekend and we cannot thank Jane enough for making it happen.
Happy birthday na lang ulit. I hope you found some other treasures from the day
spent together...
