The Queen Visits the Bay AreaHi All, I'm here again to make yet another kwento on my wonderful get-together with Richie, Lani and Dennis. To tell you the truth I am just recovering from all the excitement. I ended up taking two more days off from work just to catch up on sleep. Limang araw ba namang walang tulog dahil sa dancing, kainan at kwentuhan. Talagang great host and hostesses sila Dennis, Lani and Richie- the epitome of hospitality. When I returned home, puro pagkain ang dala ko pinaDHL na lang ni Dennis yung mga damit ko coz there was no more room sa maleta. I am attaching the pictures from our get-together and you be the judge. I'm sure by the looks on our faces you all can conclude what a fantastic time we had. It was all I imagined it to be. We danced at Solita's (live band and dj dito sa beerhouse na ito (hehehe!) and Lucky Chances (casino and ballroom dancing naman dito, owned by a Filipino). At Lucky Chances medyo taob sana kami kasi puro ballroom dancing eh si Richie and Anthony hindi pinractice yung moves nila. So we were going to hire a DI. Pero we decided na di bale na lang maski pops na sayaw we didn't care. And to our surprise once we started dancing yung hindi ballroom ang dami din sumayaw na hindi siguro marunong nang ballroom. So needless to say hindi na namin kinailangan nang DI. Naghihintay din siguro yung mga iba na may mauna na magsayaw nang hindi ballroom so when we did sunod na sila lahat. So ang saya! Medyo nagustuhan ko ang Goldilocks (wala sa Michigan nito) so we had lunch there. Then bumalik kami ni Lani and Richie for merienda of special halo-halo and kamoteque - ang sarap. Tawanan kami nang tawanan kaya pinagtitinginan kami nang mga tao - naturally we didn't care tuloy pa rin ang halakhak. We were there making kwento for about three hours. We lost track of time sa sarap nang kwento. Then balik nanaman kami ni Richie the following morning for tapsilog and bangsilog - talagang ang sarap. Richie and Lani spent the night at the hotel with me pero hindi na kami nakapagslumber party kasi sa pagod sa sayawan natulog na lang kami. Ganoon talaga yata ang tumatanda eh (hehehe!) Ang dami palang Filipinos sa Bay area. Never seen so many Filipinos in my entire time here in the States. I loved it coz it felt like nasa Pinas kami. Dennis, Lani and Richie have the most wonderful spouses Ella, Rod and Anthony and children. Swerte talaga sila and I was very priveledged to have met them all. Ok enjoy viewing the photos and let me take this opportunity to thank them: Dennis and Ella, thank you so much for the cassava bibingka - ang sarap. Ang galing mo talagang magluto nang dessert and for the nice wall hanging (I really like Footprints in the Sand) and thank the boys for the Bible they gave Jackie. She can't wait to see your four boys. She wants to know why you don't have a girl - hint, hint, hint :-) Lani, thank you so much for the most delicious Filipino desserts and please thank Rod for the hotel accommodations. Para ko makain nang walang guilt yung mga desserts, I've been doing some major workouts. You guys are fantastic. Please send me hardcopy pictures of Jed and Andre. They are adorable! Richie and Anthony, I can't even begin to list everything I want to thank you for. I think the best thing that you have given me is seeing your wonderful marriage. It really is a breath of fresh air to see that after all these years the spark is still there. You truly taught me a big lesson and I thank you for that! Please thank yaya for the delicious dishes - the lumpiang shanghai, ginataan saging, michado and the blue crabs. I have food for the rest of the month. Thanks so much. Jackie loves all the Hello Kitty stuff she can't put them down. She's also using the chopsticks at dinner time.
Thank you again for spending time with me and as I had said, please
allow me to return the favor. Punta naman kayo sa Michigan
