SOUTH COAST PRO WRESTLING

Debut show - PNE Garden Auditorium
Vancouver, BC 10/06/2006

HAIDA WARRIOR vs. LADIES' CHOICE: The flamboyant and egotistical Ladies' Choice thought he would have fun at Warrior's expense prior to the match by taking pokes at the popular grappler's Native Canadian heritage - but found out quickly that it was not a wise choice as Warrior took LC to the woodshed (figuratively speaking); LC paid the price for his big mouth when he tapped out to the triangle choke as Warrior got the submission win at 7:13.

THE ACE (with "Playboy" Buddy Rose) vs. "WILDMAN" DARREN OSBORNE: Osborne, after being dominated by Ace's combination of power moves and old-school grappling, staged a comeback by sending the masked man reeling with an aerial assault, pulling out a top-rope axe handle, a flying back elbow and a springboard dropkick from his arsenal, but when Osborne went to the ropes again, Rose tripped the high-flying redhead from outside, causing Osborne to stumble right into an Ace Crusher, leading Ace to get the three-count at 11:20 for an unpopular win.

HOT & BOTHERED (Cole Bishop & Kurt Sterling) vs. MODELS INC. (Memphis Raines & MR2): The popular Bishop-Sterling tandem emerged triumphant when Bishop pinned Raines at 10:04 after the Bishop Bomb while Sterling dropkicked MR2 to cut him off from interrupting the pin count.

"MR. WRESTLING" DEREK VOORHEES (with Buddy Rose) vs. "BOMBER" NELSON CREED: The arrogant Voorhees set out to get under the fans' collective skin again by adopting a nickname intended not only to brag about his self-professed wrestling superiority, but also as a slap in the face and a show of disrespect to the two legendary grapplers who had the ring name before him (Tim Woods and Mr. Wrestling II); that, along with Voorhees' use of stalling and underhanded tactics, frustrated Creed enough to battle back and put the cocky heel on the defensive with three consecutive dropkicks, a flying clothesline and several suplex variations to get the fans on their feet. With Voorhees seemingly in trouble, Creed attempted to finish his opponent off with a Texas cloverleaf, but Voorhees caught the "Bomber" off-guard and rolled him up into a pinning position, adding an illegal grab of the tights for leverage as referee Bill Coltrane counted the 1-2-3 at 13:17 to give "Mr. Wrestling" the tainted pinfall win, after which he escaped under the bottom rope to ringside and returned to the lockers with manager Rose, taunting the visibly displeased Creed and rubbing in the loss in typically egotistical fashion while Creed warned Voorhees that he would not be so lucky next time they faced off.

"STAMPEDE KID" T.J. WILSON vs. TOM PEARCE (with The Hoodlum): Pearce and Hoodlum came to the ring first to a chorus of fan boos and catcalls, with Pearce then grabbing the arena microphone to go on a rant, complaining about how he didn't get one more chance to win the Pacific Coast junior heavyweight title one more time before PCW shut its doors last month and reminding anyone who would listen of his championship accomplishments since his 2003 rookie year (the WWA World cruiserweight title, the NWA Canadian junior title, and of course, those five Pacific Coast junior titles) before declaring that, just as he had been the first Pacific Coast junior champion, he would become the first South Coast X-Division champion when the tournament took place on October 27, then demanded that his opponent come out to the ring so he could teach him a wrestling lesson. Unknown to the two heels in the ring, Wilson, the high-flying Memphis Wrestling star who first made his name in Calgary's Stampede Wrestling, came through the crowd and snuck up behind them, dropkicking Hoodlum out of the ring first, then began brawling with Pearce as the bell rang to start the match; Pearce briefly got the upper hand, but as he whipped Wilson to the ropes and missed on a clothesline attempt, the "Stampede Kid" rebounded and caught his lanky foe with the "Rolling Stampede" (Springboard Blockbuster) and scored a quick pinfall win at just 45 seconds to the fans' delight, then quickly rolled out of the ring as Hoodlum came in to take issue with Pearce's fast loss while Wilson celebrated his win with the fans.

FAITH HUTCHINS vs. NIKKI MATTHEWS: After wrestling from behind against Matthews for part of the match, Faith surged back with her martial arts repetoire, then used a tornado DDT to plant Nikki into the canvas and score the pin at 9:18. As Faith celebrated her win amid the fans' cheers, however, Madison ran out to the ring and blindsided the popular New Westminster native, hitting a forearm smash to the back and a kneelift to the face that sent Faith into the ropes; Madison whipped Faith to the opposite side to attempt a backdrop, but the blonde diva was caught as she bent down for the attempt when Faith headlocked her and spun her around for a suplex, then got back to her feet and dropkicked Madison out of the ring. Madison, not impressed with Faith's comeback, began yelling threats at the beautiful brunette from ringside while Faith brushed off her new rival's words, then continued to acknowledge the fan applause.

GREATNESS ON DEMAND (Michelle Starr & Vance Nevada, with Buddy Rose) vs. THE PACIFIC EXPRESS (Ricky & Troy Riley): Troy had Starr tied up in the sleeperhold late in the match when Rose got up on the ring apron to distract referee Mike Edwards; while Ricky ran around the corner to pull Rose back down and floored him with a right hook, Nevada climbed to the top turnbuckle and came off with a flying axe handle to Troy's back, forcing a release of the submission hold and allowing "Gorgeous" Michelle to execute his "Falling Starr" finisher and go for the pin on Troy, which Edwards counted (while the recovered Rose grabbed Ricky's right leg to keep the "Renegade" from getting back in the ring to make the save) to end the match with a G.O.D. win at 18:39 and give Rose's Playboys a clean sweep in their matches tonight.

MARK RILEY vs. "HITMAN" TONY VALENTINO (with Don Corleone & Jonathan White): Prior to the start of the main event after the ring introductions had finished, Riley grabbed the arena mike and made it clear to Valentino that he blamed The Racketeers and former business associate Vince Russo for forcing his friend, former PCW star Dark Avenger, to the sidelines at the final PCW show on July 28 and that he would get revenge on Avenger's behalf by defeating and humiliating the "Hitman" tonight. The two rivals then kicked off the match by locking up in a collar-and-elbow tie-up which saw Riley force Valentino into a corner, only to make a clean break on orders from referee Vern Siebert; they then returned to the collar-and-elbow position, from which Riley again tried to force Valentino into the corner, only for Valentino to turn it around and get the big man cornered. When Siebert told Valentino to break the hold, the Racketeer did so - but then let Riley have it with a knee to the gut, followed by a forearm smash to send his doubled-over foe to the mat, enabling Valentino to pounce on big Mark and keep him on the canvas with a headlock; while in this position, Valentino twice got caught as Riley maneuvered him into a pinning position, but the rugged heel managed to escape each time after a two-count, only to have Riley get back to his feet, push Valentino to the ropes and knock him down with a shoulderblock, followed by a whip to the opposite side and an impressive standing dropkick by the 310-pound Riley that sent Valentino through the ropes to ringside, where Corleone and White ran over to converse with their Cartel stablemate. When Riley went to the ropes to try to pull Valentino back inside, the devious "Hitman" grabbed Riley by the ankles to trip him up and pulled his opponent out to the floor, where the two got into a brawl that went around to the opposite side of the ring before Riley whipped Valentino to the ringside railing, only for the wrestling gangster to dodge the oncoming Riley at the last second as the big man went over the rail and into the crowd, from which Valentino pulled him out and back over, then whipped him shoulder-first into the ringside steps before rolling back into the ring to argue with Siebert, allowing Corleone to pull a piece of rope from the inside pocket of his coat and choke Riley with it while the ref was kept busy. White then jumped up on the apron and distracted Siebert while Valentino rolled back outside and, taking advantage of Riley's weakened condition, forced ring announcer Scotty Sweatervest to vacate his seat near the timekeeper's table, then grabbed the chair and whacked Riley over the head with a vicious shot, busting Mark's forehead open in the process, then spent a moment arguing with some irate ringside fans before rolling Riley back into the ring and followed him in as Valentino attempted to widen the bloodied Riley's forehead cut with punches to the intended target, keeping the popular Vancouverite on the defensive for a few more minutes, until Valentino missed with an attempted elbow drop off the middle turnbuckle as Riley rolled out of the way, then "Hulked up" into comeback mode as the fans' cheers and chants re-energized the hometown hero, who blocked Valentino's punches and countered with some of his own, then whipped the Racketeer into the corner, followed in close with an elbow to the face and mudhole-stomped him down to the mat, then whipped him to the ropes again and pulled a move out of Harley Race's playbook with a high knee that knocked Valentino to the canvas and brought the fans to their feet. Riley then tied Valentino up in the figure-four and the crowd went wild, anticipating a submission win - but Corleone and White sabotaged those plans as they ran in and attacked big Mark, leading to Siebert ordering the bell rung and awarding the match to Riley by DQ at 11:28; Riley, faced with three-against-one odds, nonetheless fought valiantly against the ruthless Cartel trio until he finally got help from the arriving Pacific Express, who charged in and helped run off Valentino and his cronies, who lobbed threats at the Rileys from ringside as the three fan favorites stood tall in victory.
