SOUTH COAST PRO WRESTLING

PNE Garden Auditorium
Vancouver, BC 10/13/2006

"WILDMAN" DARREN OSBORNE let SCOTTY MAC have it with a missile dropkick to score the pin at 9:52.

"BOMBER" NELSON CREED and SPIKE IDOL battled to a 15-minute draw.

JONATHAN WHITE (with Don Corleone) planted ICE into the canvas with the DDT for the pinfall win at 12:35.

THE RACKETEERS (Don Corleone & Tony Valentino, with Jonathan White) beat CANADIAN FORCE (Canadian Patriot & Keith Jackson) when Jackson fell prey to Corleone and Valentino's "Sleeping with the Fishes" 3-D finisher and Valentino got the pin at 13:20.

VID VAIN scored the pin on VANCE NEVADA (with "Playboy" Buddy Rose) at 17:57 after hitting Nevada with the "Vain Drop".

In women's action, MADISON (with Don Corleone) took VERONIKA VICE down with the flying headscissors, then scored the pin at 8:42 by putting her feet up on the middle rope for illegal leverage (unseen by referee Bill Coltrane as he made the count). Madison tried beating up further on Veronika after the match, but Faith Hutchins ran in moments later to chase the blonde heel out, leading to the two trading heated words. (Promoter's note - a tag team match between Faith Hutchins & Veronika Vice and Madison & Nikki Matthews has been signed for the October 20 SCPW show in Vancouver)

MARK RILEY defeated "GORGEOUS" MICHELLE STARR (with Buddy Rose) when Starr, having had enough of Riley's onslaught when the big man battled back after being at the receiving end of the flamboyant heel's dirty tactics for several minutes, ducked out to ringside to avoid getting caught in Riley's figure-four and, deciding to call it an early night, beat a retreat to the lockers as Mark got the countout win at 13:25.

Cartel manager "Il Capo" Don Corleone came to the ring to the fans' boos preceding the main event, then grabbed the arena mic and announced that he had a surprise in store for THE PACIFIC EXPRESS (Ricky & Troy Riley) and called them out to the ring to find out the surprise. At that point, "Bow Wow Wow" by rap group Funkdoobiest boomed over the PA system to signal the Express' arrival, with the fans going wild as the cousin tag team came from behind the Jumbotron set up on the stage of the PNE Garden Auditorium and made their way down the aisle to greet the fans - but as Ricky and Troy got close to the ring, Corleone's surprise made its presence felt in the form of two hired guns, Action Wrestling Entertainment stars "KINGMAN" BRODY STEELE and "THE OUTLAW" ADAM KNIGHT, who ran out and ambushed the Express from behind, then threw them in the ring as the hulking heels continued the assault. The 320-pound Steele tossed Ricky out through the ropes and followed him out to ringside to dish out further punishment, while Troy and Knight officially kicked off the match as "The Outlaw" pounded the blond Express member from corner to corner. Steele threw Ricky over the ringside railing and followed the popular grappler into the crowd, lacing into the "Renegade" with fists, feet and chair shots while pausing periodically to scare off any fans who got too close to the action. Back in the ring, Knight had successfully connected with a lariat clothesline and went for the pin on Troy, who kicked out just before senior referee Vern Siebert could reach the three-count; Knight whipped Troy to the ropes for a second attempt, but missed and was caught on the rebound as Troy floored him with a flying forearm shot that got the fans back into the match and turned the tide for the Express, as Ricky, still brawling with Steele among the crowd, also began giving back as good as he got against the behemoth before taking the fight back over the railing to the ringside area. After connecting on Knight with a flying axehandle off the middle turnbuckle, Troy whipped "The Outlaw" into the ropes and tied him up in the sleeperhold, while Ricky continued trading punches with Steele (who appeared not to be fazed by the blows himself); seeing Knight in trouble, Corleone took matters into his hands as he ran in and, pulling a set of brass knuckles from his coat pocket, blasted Troy from behind with them to cause a blatant disqualification against Steele and Knight from Siebert, giving the match to the Express at just 5:42. Corleone then called out the rest of the Cartel troops as Tony Valentino and Jonathan White ran out to make it a 5-on-2, with Valentino pulling a folding table out from under the ring and throwing it in before directing Steele to go in and help Knight deal with the stunned Troy while he, Corleone and White triple-teamed on Ricky. After the Cartel trio beat Ricky into semi-consciousness near the timekeeper's table and running the timekeeper and Scotty Sweatervest off, Valentino laid Ricky out onto the table, then picked him up and, in an egregious act reminiscent of what Randy Savage did to Ricky Morton in a tag team match in Memphis in 1984, piledrove the Express member through the table and split it in half in the process, leaving Ricky convulsing on the floor as fans nearby were screaming and freaking out and Valentino taunted those fans who were being restrained by arena security from jumping the railing to get at the dastardly "Hitman". Meanwhile, while Steele was busy battering Troy in the ring, Knight set up the table Valentino had thrown in the ring earlier, then told the "Kingman" to set Troy up, which he did as Steele delivered a devastating power bomb through the table to the other Express member, turning the other table into kindling as well. By this time, the fans were nearly whipped into a frenzy as some were screaming for help for the battered and bloodied Express - which finally came moments later as Mark Riley, Vid Vain and Canadian Force charged out to the ring, with Vain, Canadian Patriot and Keith Jackson sending the Cartel members running, while Riley charged in and forced Knight to bail out as well. Amazingly, however, the physically intimidating Steele did not budge an inch as Riley came up to him and the two titans eyeballed each other for a few moments, exchanging a few words, before "Kingman" turned around and stepped through the ropes to join Knight and The Cartel down at ringside.

As referees, trainers and paramedics arrived to tend to the injured Ricky and Troy, Valentino, amid heavy fan booing and some trash being thrown in his and the other heels' direction, grabbed a mic of his own and taunted Riley, the other faces and nearly everyone in the building, saying "So, what do you think of our handiwork, huh? It's amazing how far a little cash can go to get some good help when it's needed. Oh, speaking of business, remember our old associate Vince Russo? It turns out he's got some unfinished business around here, and he's coming back soon to settle it. In fact, who do you think it was who hired Steele and Knight in the first place? That's right, Russo had a little message to send to South Coast Pro Wrestling, and this was his way of delivering it. Oh yeah, he also wanted me to give this message to that fossil of a promoter here, Tim Flowers - Flowers, Russo said that if you attempt to suspend, fine or in any way discipline any member of The Cartel - myself included - he's going to sue SCPW for every cent it's worth and drive it into the ground like he did to Pacific Coast Wrestling, and that...you can take to the bank, paisans!" Having heard enough, an infuriated Riley grabbed the arena mic and boomed, "Valentino, you twisted son of a bitch! If that sick piece of crap Russo's in the mood for delivering messages, then give him this message - if he and you hired thugs think you're going to intimidate SCPW into submission and ruin it the way he did PCW, then you're badly mistaken, 'cause you're going to get a fight from us every time! And if his mouth wants to write checks that his ass can't cash, he's welcome to do so...but he better be ready to pay up when his time - and yours - come due!" As the fans cheered Riley's response of sworn revenge, the big man dropped the mic and directed a cold, hard glare at Valentino and the rest of The Cartel and its hired muscle Steele and Knight, while his brother Ricky and cousin Troy were removed on stretchers to the lockers by the paramedics, accompanied by the other wrestlers, referees and trainers.
