Well it seems Daryl asked Santa for the O.S. .46 fx last Christmas and Santa being the jolly fellow he is, made sure Daryl was a happy camper come Christmas Day. Now having the engine, Daryl had no more excuses not to start building this kit. To date it has seven flights, two of which were made by club president and test pilot extraordinaire Keith Roehl. I am told that on the test flights the contender only required 2 clicks of right aileron trim. The plane shows no tendency to tip stall. Stalls are all pretty gentle with the nose dropping straight ahead. <---NICE!!! Daryl says the throws and center of gravity are all set according to plans. He prefers to fly it with the ailerons on low rate and the elevator on high rate simply because he likes a little more response on elevator. The Contender goes where you point it and has terriffic flight characteristics and is a real joy to fly.
