This page will feature pictures of aircraft belonging to club members. Each month one will be selected as 'PLANE OF THE MONTH' and will be featured in more depth.

This airplane was scratch built from plans from Model Airplane News (Air Age publishing). It crashed on its third flight last year, but is almost ready to soar into the wild blue again. The Doghouse is an easy to build airplane and could be done in less than a month if need be. I modified mine to have retracts so that it would fit in my car (I later bought a truck) without taking the gear off. The original testflights were less than stellar. The temp was near 100 degrees and the O.S. 61fx just didn't seem to have much power. I have now replaced it with an MDS.68 based on the great reviews read in R/C Report Magazine (they tell it like it is). The crash happened only because I forgot to reset the trims on the old radio and got a case of dumb thumbs. oooops! Won't do that one again! This really does fly, but it is a 'hands on' type of plane. I will put more details on this page after it has flown again.
