Shelter of a Smile - May 24, 2000

I dream
of the life
beyond four walls
as I reach
for the doors
that open to 
a time afar
from this.

When I can look back
to the life as it was -
a period of
existence
as opposed to
true living.

I remmeber when
my struggles overwhelmed
my thoughts
and the only shelter
given
is a simple
smile.
