The Cycle - January 6, 2001

The pain arcs from
one point to another
lightning catching
on the ends of the
lancing nerves.

A twisting motion
sends another pang
of cold frission
down taut nerves.

An endless cycle
of hot, cold, hot cold.

The ice never melts
fast enough to really
fade away.

So it is
a frozen barrier
outside and within.
