Even as the light
dwindles and fades,
the stars appear
in the dark expanse of
black silk.

Casting our thoughts
to the millions
of shining lights
that dot the heavens,
we send our dreams
to ride the trains
in the skies -
carrying our deepest
hopes to the ends
of the world.
