Untitled - May 4, 2001

Mornings come early in May,
even as the faint mist
is burnt away
by the bright sunlight.

What begins as a cool dawn
quickly becomes a hot day
as the skies rapidly clear.

Through the city haze
we can see the distant specs
of the peaceful ocean,
the blue water broken
only by white waves.
