-strawberries and dark chocolate

The dimpled fruit
captures dark sweetness
in a simple motion -
being dipped up and down
in the steady stream of
liquid chocolate.

As it cools to the contact
of air on fruit,
it hardens to a sweet shell,
to be slowly consumed
bit by bit.
