with giving and receiving of the same.

the distance is never too far
from our hearts.
Five reasons on each hand
to reach for pen and paper,
communication over land.
Six degrees of separation
from the connection
between near and far.
Seven colours in the rainbow
brings the luck we all need,
until we forget that Lady Luck pays us no heed.
Eight-fold path to peace within
is balanced by
the multiple facets mirrored without.
Nine lives for a cat,
living each moment
to the fullest of its days.
Ten is the number counted
on both hands - the time that separates
perfection from life as it is.
