Untitled - June 8, 2004
Whether it's a linear progression
of shortest distances between
completion and need;
or a winding road
of athletic contortions
and flailing limbs,
the start and end remain the very same.
Like a serpentine game
oscillating
between restraint
and freedom,
the pendulum turns back
and the need settles to a low simmer -
humming against the back of the mind.
Within the maze of city streets,
every moment passes
in a blur,
where the only focus
is pinpointed to the sensation
of fingertips running along a heated seam.
