The team is well balanced with vetrans and rookies. That makes good sense; vetrans with their skill, and rookies with their speed.
A few players who really make offense happen on the Wings are usually vetrans. Brett Hull, Brendan Shannahan, Mathiue Dandunult, Robert Lang, and of course Pavel Datsuke.
Detroit has very good defense too. Gary Fischer with hes really hard hits, Chris Chellios, past captin of the Chicago Blackhawks. Of course Darien Hatcher, and my personal favorite player on the team, Nick Lidstrom probally have the most skill in that posistion.
If you combine defense and offense together on that team, you end up with alot of pucks in the net. The goalies for Detroit are truly awesome. Manny Legace, Curtis Joseph play well, but... Dominik Hasek plays better. He of course is subject to the hall of fame, and has won more veinza tropheys than you can imagine!!! To earn a Veinza trophey you have to play very well and not let in many goals during the regular season.
Detroit has been a team since 1929 and has won many Stanly Cups, 10. They have also had famous players like Gordie Howe play on their team. Right now they have future hall of famers like Steve Yzerman, Brendan Shannahan, and of course Lidstom, Hatcher, Chelios, and Robert Lang. All along with Dominik Hasek.
The Wings rivals(the team they dislike most)are the Colorado Avalanche. If you like them, don't move to Detroit!
As you can see Detroit is a very awesome team and for sure will bring in more Stanly Cups home. I hope you watch them play, and see how well they do. You may even be intreseted in a carrer of hockey yourself!
