The Search to Involve Pilipino Americans (SIPA) celebrated more than three decades of service to the community with a star-studded and fun-filled annual gathering that brought together hundreds of leaders and members of the community as well as supporters of the organization and its worthwhile causes. Mistress of ceremonies Nia Peeples, a Filipino-American singer/actress who has several award winning TV shows, notable commercial and independent films, as well as music records under her sleeve, carried through the program seamlessly with her wit, charm and sense of humor. Peeples, who has not been to any Fil-Am community event until SIPA, joked about how being around people of her same height made her feel at home.
