A Spring Snow
It's snowing! Good thing we didn't try to plant the trees that unexpectedly arrived on Thursday. Right now they are sitting in two large vases of water on the dining room table. I don't think the apple tree (pictured above) or the azalea bush in the backyard (which has been in bloom for about a week) are very happy right now. Will warm weather ever arrive? I haven't experienced snow in April since I moved from Buffalo, New York, in 1977. My family moved to the D.C. area from Buffalo after the Blizzard of '76 dumped 14 feet of snow on the city. Now I'm beginning to wonder if we should have moved even farther south ....
