I haven't had a free Thursday in a very long time.  Ever since we got back from Canada, we have had a series of contractors coming to the house in preparation for the sunroom we plan to build.  Two days ago I had landscapers move some trees so we could move the heating, gas vents, and air conditioning (HVAC) to the side of the house where the trees used to be, so we can build the sunroom.  Today a pair of electricians has been working in my backyard and basement for the last six hours installing a new electrical meter, power cut-off switch, and subpanel.  Next week the HVAC guy is coming to tear up another portion of the basement to redirect the gas vents and install a new HVAC unit.  We also have had a plumber and a Verizon guy come through in the past few weeks.  So far we have spent several thousands of dollars -- and several days' worth of my time -- and we haven't even started construction on the sunroom yet!  This room had better be worth it when all this is over!
