to the names listed below are from a plat in the Herndon Historical Society
collection and are believed
to be from 1911-1912. The cover page is titled
Washington & Old Dominion
Railway and drawings or plats from Bluemont to
Alexandria are shown.
There is no Bluemont Junction location in this set. This might be
a
survey that was assembled
for the transition of the railroad from the Southern Railway
to the W&OD.
Some of the information may have been transferred from original
surveys of the Alexandria,
Loudoun & Hampshire Railroad (1853-1870) predecessor
to the W&OD.
The drawings appear to have used several different scales
although no scale chart
was provided.
