Representing the UK
A number of our club
members have been given the opportunity of representing the country by being
chosen for the much-anticipated UK squads.
Pennine team manager Martin Brookes has been selected for the UKPA Men’s team,
with Guy Robertson as a reserve and Penny Beaumont and Lizzie Wright-Roberts
(Lizzie is pictured in the centre of the front row) were chosen for the Women’s team.
Guy and James Robertson were also selected for the Under-21s team with Edward
Beckerlegge as a reserve and Oliver Beckerlegge and Anna Robertson were chosen
for the Under-16s team.
These selected players will be given the chance to travel abroad and compete
at the highest level against other countries if such invitations are received.
Lizzie has acutally already gone to America with the rest of the girls, pictured
above, but unfortunately Penny was unable to join them due to university work.
