2002 Inter-Regionals
Report
Cirencester provided the grounds for the annual UKPA Inter-Regional competition on 20th and 21st July.
As Pennine is the largest club in the North of England, many of our players
were selected to represent the Northern region at the tournament and everyone
thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Some fantastic performances were displayed over the course of the weekend
and Pennine managed to help the North win the Restricted Mixed and Intermediate
divisions and come 2nd in the overall points competition. Also, our Open team
was the only one to beat the eventual winners of their division, the Midlands.
The decent weather helped to make the Inter-Regionals good fun for everyone
and the lovely meal put on probably aided somewhat too!!
As this year saw the South hosting the competition other regions of the country are now beginning to bid to host the 2003 Inter-Regionals.
