Inter-Regionals Tournament 20th/21st July 2002
The Inter-regional Championships are an annual competition where
different regions of the UK compete against each other. Clubs in the North,
South, East and Midlands areas combine within their respective regions and players
must go through training and selection sessions before they are able to represent
their region.
A different region
hosts the competition every year. Last year the Northern region were the hosts
and this year it is the turn of the Southern region (featured in the photo above).
A specific venue
has not yet been chosen but this year the Inter-regionals will be in the West
Country area of the South of England.
The Inter-regional
championships is always a good competition because it is highly competitive
and both players and spectators get behind their regions to produce exciting
and tense matches which are fantastic to watch.
Selected Pennine members will be going to this years Inter-regional Championships, hoping to better their incredibly successful representation of the Northern region in 2001.
