Pennine Turnout
Pennine prides itself on the smart turnout of members at tournaments and the club has its own sets of navy blue and white shirts which are handed out to players at competitions. However, each player is expected to be smart and tidy in the rest of their turnout.
Players must have white riding trousers or jodhpurs (which can be white or cream), with an approved riding hat and clean riding boots. Horses should also be clean and well presented, preferably with a plaited tail and a hogged or plaited mane. If possible, players use a Pennine numnah, or if they haven't got a Pennine numnah yet a plain dark colour can be substituted.
The horse should have white bandages or boots and over-reach boots on all legs and it's usually a good idea to have several sets so that players have a clean set for each day or game and also in case any are lost.
If players have any problems related to the playing side the three committee members they should see are:
Penny Beaumont who
is the captain
and is the first person players should see if they have any problems involving
playing and any other aspects of the game.
Keith Mason who is the trainer and can help with
training exercises, practices, horse or player problems, tactics and games at
tournaments.
Martin Brookes
who is the team manager and players should see him if they need to know what
has been organised, future club plans for the season and other managerial queries.
