Row, Row, Row Your Boat

Saturday, April 4 Only 2 seats are left!

On Saturday we will be making our annual Whitewater Rafting Trip down PA's Grand Canyon. The cost is $14.00 per person and includes lunch! Payment should be made to the church office or Pastor John (cash only please). The church van will leave at 7 am. Information is available in the office on what to wear and what to expect!

If you can sponsor a person who would like to attend but can't afford it, please see Pastor Tharp. Thank You to Margaret Mills for her sponsorship!

 

Palm Sunday Men's Breakfast

Sunday, April 5 @ 8 am

Men, mark your calendars and gather your children for the annual Palm Sunday breakfast. The morning will begin with a devotional in the sanctuary and special guest Ken Anderson. Ken will sing some popular hymns. This will be followed by a breakfast in the Great Room. Cost is $5; children under 12 are free. Bring your children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews!

 

Collecting for Utica

Once again, with spring cleaning on the horizon, keep in mind the needs of the Burmese Refugees in Utica. Bicycles, items to set up house, summer clothing, etc. We will let you know when we will be collecting as the date draws near.

 

Memorial Bulletin Covers

A new concept taking place in our church community are Memorial Sunday Bulletin Covers. You can purchase Sunday bulletin cover

In Memory Of or In Honor Of a loved one. This is a unique way to memorialize or to recognize a loved one, and at the same time help to defray church operating costs. The cost is $10 for one Sunday. There will be mention in the bulletin who the cover is named for. You can find forms on the greeting tables or in the office.

News from the Bd. of Missions

In April we will start promoting "Undies Sundays" to benefit Cameron Community Center in Rochester. The needs keep growing.

 

- We received a Thank You for your contributions to the Yates County Jail Ministry.

 

- Keep checking the bulletin boards. We will be featuring our Special Interest Missionaries!

 

- Keep the cancelled stamps, Campbell Labels and "Boxtops for Education" coming. Every little bit helps!

Roast Beef Dinner

Women's Palm Monday Sacrificial Breakfast

Monday April 6, @ 9 am

All women are invited to the Penn Yan United Methodist Church for the annual breakfast. This year the event is dedicated to the memory of Emily Seager, at whose initiative this community Sacrificial Breakfast was started a few years ago. No reservation is required; a free will offering will be taken. If child care is needed please call 536- 2095. Speaker: Adrienne Russell, Soloist: Amiee Stempien, Pianist: Connie Gibson.
