Vacations are great levelers.

The person who takes one returns home just as broke as the person who stayed home because he couldn’t afford to go away.

Let’s Fill Box # 2

UNDIES & PERSONAL CARE ITEMS

You’ve filled one box for the Cameron Community Center! We’ve decided to start another box and leave it out for the month of June. Keep watching the sales for sox, underwear, tee shirts etc. Remember our local dollar stores are available if you don’t get out of town to Walmarts or Kmarts etc.

“A Dollar and a Prayer” Offering

will be received today.

In today’s bulletin you will find “A Dollar and A Prayer” offering envelope. Since we want to encourage every young person to attend church camp sometime while they are growing up, we collect funds for Church Camp Scholarships each year. These scholarships are distributed by the Camping Director at our American Baptist Churches/NYS, and they seek to make it possible for every young person to attend camp who wishes to, regardless of the ability of their parents or church to pay their way. Thousands of dollars are spent each year for these “camperships” and they are much appreciated.

We know your dollars and your prayers will make an important difference in the life of some young person.

Welcome to First Baptist Church of Penn Yan. We are glad you joined us and hope you’ll feel at home, as we celebrate our faith and praise God together.

In the pew in front of you, you will find a “get-to-know-you” card. Please take a moment to fill it out and place it in the offering plate.

We invite you to bring your children to the nursery during the service for a safe and Christian environment so that you may more fully experience Worship.

Following today’s service please come to enjoy coffee, refreshments and fellowship in the Great Room.
