KAREN HYMN: “STARS FROM THE EAST”

We, the Karen people, used to live in the wilderness.

We are oppressed in various ways.

We are almost eliminated because of devil’s deeds.

We are turned into displaced people,

And tears are our only friends.

We are regarded as wild animals by our foes.

We have been oppressed and looked down upon by others.

No other gods are able to give us deliverance.

But when we accepted Christ as our Savior,

We received redemption and wisdom free.

We are developing among others.

We could share our light to others.

Some say, “We are the stars from the East.”

Stars for God.

Stars that lead others to Christ.

Stars for God – Stars from the East.

Let us shine with unceasing light.
