The PY Council of
Churches is gearing up for the annual Turkey Walk to be held on Sunday, Nov. 2.
The Turkey Walk is a fundraising event that uses the monies to purchase meat
for Christmas for the Needy Baskets. A volunteer is needed to get sheets out to
walkers and assist in securing sponsors. This is a wonderful service project
that requires little effort. Call the church office for more information.
Harvest gold colored sheets are currently available on the table in the foyer.
Minutes from the
September, PY Area Council of Churches meeting are available on the table in
the foyer.

the risks? What are the signs? What are the slang names? Experts in the field
of chemical dependence, prevention services and law enforcement will head a
panel discussion. The forum will be preceded by a potluck supper at

The secret of a good sermon is to have
a good beginning
and a good ending; and to have the two
as close together
as possible.

Sometimes, God, I cannot speak of what is in my heart. Thank you for
understanding. Amen. |
