(They stood for the Reading of the
Word. They wept when they found that they fell short of its demands. They
rejoiced and shared a feast when they understood that God was doing a good
thing in their midst.) Dear Lord please build our feast on your strong Word.
We, too, would repent of our sins, so that we might know the joy of breaking
bread in the spirit of sharing and the attitude of celebration. We offer our
thanks and praise in the name of Jesus who taught us to pray…

God has not promised skies always blue,
Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through:
God has not promised sun without rain,
Joy without sorrow.
Peace without pain.
But God has promised strength for the day,
Rest for the labor,
Light for the way,
Grace for the trials,
Help from above,
Unfailing sympathy, undying love.
Everybody wants to save the earth;
but no one wants to help mom with the dishes.

Open The Eyes Of My Heart, Lord
Open the eyes of my heart Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see you, I want to see you.
Open the eyes of my heart Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see you, I want to see you.
To see you high and lifted up
Shining in the light of your glory
Lord, pour out your power and love
As we sing Holy, Holy, Holy.
Open the eyes of my heart Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see you, I want to see you.
Open the eyes of my heart Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see you, I want to see you.
To see you high and lifted up
Shining in the light of your glory
Lord, pour out you power and love
As we sing Holy, Holy, Holy.
You are high and lifted up
And you’re shining in the light of your glory
Lord, pour out your power and love
As we sing Holy, Holy, Holy.
Holy, Holy, Holy
You are Holy, Holy, Holy
Holy, Holy, Holy
I want to see you.
