Dear
Friends,
It will soon be
time to receive our American Baptist Retired Ministers and Missionaries
Offering. (Dec. 16)
Recently I gratefully received my
Thank You check from last year’s RMMO, and it was much appreciated. 57% of what
you give is a way of saying “Thank You” in remembrance of all our previous
pastors. While I put the money to good use, the fact that one is remembered
means much, much more.
43% helps provide emergency
assistance to both active and retired pastors and/or their families in times of
critical financial need. (100% of what you give goes for these two purposes -
the cost of promoting the offering comes from other sources.)
Over the years, the people of our
church have responded faithfully and generously to the appeal of the RMMO. Let
us keep up this great tradition.
Sincerely,
Rev.
Douglas W. Passage
